September 21 Blues at Dusty's Fundraiser for the Whistler Library. The Whistler Rotary Club had a busy week in these Dog Days of summer. Pres. Janice Lloyd of the Rotary Club of Whistler and Janie Harper of the Millennium Club serve up delicious free Gelato cones to a huge line up at the Cheakamus Crossing Block Party. Below are PACE the visitors this year from Columbia,Poland, Italy, Germany, Guatemala and Mexico. These wonderful youth are Rotaractor’s who travel together Internationally sharing the fantastic work their clubs achieve in their communities and nearby where help is needed. A fine spread of salads and deserts was served Along with barbecue on Dianne and Barry Maskel’s deck. Each PACER presented on their clubs, projects and history Our AM Meeting on August 27th was chock full of reviews and details. - Ken Martin talked about our the future possibilities for our International contributions,
- These interesting options are to be addressed in the fall. He updated us on the details of our donations to date.
- September 18th at 5 PM Wendel Moore is going to conduct a walk and talk to prospective Rotary Club members.
- Gill updated us on the menu at Dusty's for Blues Night.
- The Olympic Plaza Chairs were discussed regarding repositioning them. RMOW is reorganizing the Plaza.
- Space at the Whistler Storeall is proving to be very advantageous.
- Barbie updated re decorations for Blues Night.
- Marg reported on the Silent Auction for Blues Night.
- Mary Scott won the wine draw.
