Big week last week with our monthly evening meeting/social where we honoured Ginny and Kerry Dennehy with a Paul Harris Award and Installed the 2017-2018 Board of Directors. DG Lyn Stroshin and ADG Liz Scott conducted the honours of presenting the Paul Harris award and PADG and club member Ross Harlow conducted the Installation. It was a great evening with almost 45 members and guests enjoying another great meal at The Venue. The event was also covered in The Pique Magazine.
We also participated, (for the 15th time) in the annual Whistler Canada Day Parade on Saturday. This we were joined by both the Millennium Club and the Whistler Interactors. Thanks to Marg Pallot for organizing the event and David Oakes for arranging for the golf cart.

This year Athlete Check in occurs over three days. (Jul 27,28 and 29). Check in is where athletes pick up all the necessary paperwork and race articles necessary to compete. It is a great opportunity to meet the people who will be competing in the event. Those who have worked the event in previous years will note that, in general, these athletes are a pretty friendly bunch and Athlete Check in is a good experience.
Subaru Ironman Canada is a big event. Consequently you must register using their web site. Sorry!
