Great business meeting last week. After reviewing the Tuesday evening meeting survey results the club members present voted and approved making the last Tuesday of every month an evening dinner meeting. We also quickly reviewed the Committee structure and goals and objectives for each committee for the 2017-2018 year. Detail is on Clubrunner. Good turn out by members and a number of guests. This Weeks MeetingThis Tuesday April 25th will be our 2nd Dinner Meeting at The Venue. $20 buffet with $5 beer and $7 wine. (menu will be emailed to those registered shortly). Social time 5:15 - 6:00, Meeting from 6:00 - 6:15 with a new member induction. Dinner at 6:15 - 6:45 then Claire Ruddy of AWARE will be speaking and will be presented with a cheque for our support of their Pollinator Patch garden project in Spruce Grove, RSVP here if you have not done so already. Upcoming Meetings - May 2nd - Our own Dawn Minett is going to talk about her week in March at a back country lodge near Whistler called Whitecap Alpine - May 16th - Dr. Gordon Heinrichs - Improving Doctor/Patient Communications Also mark on you calendar the scheduled Tuesday evening meetings. - May 30th - A stand up small bites and appies evening at The Venue - Our speaker will be Blair Kaplan giving a presentation on the use of #hastags in social media. RSVP here. - June 27 - This meeting will also be the Induction ceremony for our incoming President, Ken Martin. If the weather is good this will also be an outside deck event with a Pasta Bar (tentative) - August 1st - Our incoming District Governor, Don Evans and his wife Deb will be attending and presenting. This will be an outdoor deck barbecue night at The Venue Service Project Volunteers RequiredWe have a number of events requiring volunteers later this spring and summer including Clean Up Day, two or three pancake breakfasts and corn roasts in the village, and our annual Ironman support.
