Apologies for the late delivery of this week's eBulletin. It's a busy week for the Rotary Club of Whistler and what can I say? I've been busy for preparing and I had to wash my hair .
Earlier today the RMOWs John Rae did an interesting and very detailed presentation on plans for Cultural Tourism in Whistler. As John mentioned Cultural Tourism is much more than the arts. Would you believe that it also includes things like our sign projects? Very informative.
Last Week's Happenings
On Monday a small group celebrated the completion of this years Don MacLaurin Sign Project work. Mother nature was kind to us and presented us with a very sunny bluebird day although it was a little chilly. Members of Rotary, Community Foundation of Whistler, the Whistler Museum and the Pique were present. David Oakes took some nice pictures and we hope to see event mentioned in the Pique.

Part 1 is being held at Sheraton Four Points Richmond, and Parts 2 and 3 are being held at the Accent Inn on Henning Drive in Burnaby. The cost is $85 and some clubs choose to subsidize or cover this cost. Of course, carpooling, especially coming from our area is encouraged, and only adds to the fellowship! Those interested can access the registration page online by going to the District webpage rotary5040.org and scrolling down. It appears on the lefthand side.
The Cenotaph has been moved!
Anne Townley reports that the Cenotaph is now in it's new home. Yeah! It's finally where it belongs.
Anne sends a big thanks to Rotary for sponsoring the project. Also, special thanks to Mary for all of the effort and dealing with Veterans Affairs. Also a big thanks to President Ken for handling the invoices and queries from Veterans Affairs.
The Rotary Club of Whistler sends a big thanks to Anne for being the catalyst behind this project. We recognize your hard work and dedication to the project. Very much appreciated and Well done!
