Big month for great speakers with 3 very interesting speakers over the next 3 meetings. This Tuesday's meeting will feature Vanessa Barr and Alexandra Graziosi discussing Nibbles & Bytes: Cuisine & Conversation on Sustainable Development. Next week it is Peter Ackhurst providing an update on our Uganda projects, and the following week is out MP, Pamela Goldsmith Jones.
Also very importantly we will be voting on changes to our club bylaws at the Feb 21st meeting. These changes will allow us more flexibility in meeting scheduling (i.e. possibly change one meeting a month to an evening supper meeting), more flexibility in scheduling board meetings and easing attendance requirements. Only members attending the meeting can vote and we need a quorum of at least 10 members present.
Last chance to provide membership input. The annual membership survey has been emailed to all members. We have 8 completed and returned to date. I will bring some blank copies to the meeting on Tuesday for you to fill out if you haven't done so.. Deadline is this Tuesday. I will compile and present the results at a future meeting.
Board and committee positions available for the coming year, starting July 1, 2017 were emailed two weeks ago. Thanks for those who have volunteered to fill some of the positions. Still a couple left including the coveted President Elect position. We hope to have every member signed up for either a board, committee or project position. Please see me at the meeting to discuss if you are interested.
