Welcome to our 2nd week of Rotary activity in 2019.
Upcoming activities:
Monday January 14 – A working session to review our fundraisers from last year, discuss this year’s fundraisers, and to talk about our elusive 5 year signature project. 4:30 to 6PM at the TD Bank meeting room in Marketplace
Tuesday January 15 – Our regular meeting. Former Rotarian Jim Watts, and Whistler’s pay parking guru will be talking about the future of pay parking. We will also be signing a condolence card for Jane Burrows, wife of former Whistler and Millennium Rotary Clubs President.
We had planned on presenting the WCSS/Foodbank at donation cheque of $1,000 at this meeting but have deferred the presentation to the February 12th Tuesday meeting to allow Jackie Dickinson to present as our weekly speaker.
Tuesday January 22nd – Our regular meeting. Carol Coffee from the CFOW speaking about their new Neighbourhood Small Grants program.
January 25th to 27th - Rotary Youth Exchange Weekend Visit - We are hosting 13 exchange students. We are still looking for a weekend home for one student, and help with the Potluck Dinner at Myrtle Philips School on the 26th.
Tuesday January 29th – Our monthly Venue night dinner meeting and social. David Malaher will be speaking about a recent trip to the Ukraine (A Canadian’s Perspective). Should be an interesting and topical presentation.
