Former Air Canada pilot David Spicer gave a very informative presentation on the Boeing Max 737 issues and specifically last year's crash of the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 on March 10th, 2019. David covered the cascading problems of inexperienced Ethiopian crew, shortcomings with Ethiopian Airlines maintenance and training procedures, FAA shortcomings resulting from a too close relationship with Boeing, and finally Boeing itself with many design and quality control issues, which continue to this day. We learnt a lot about the way airliners are designed, certified and put into service.
