Corn Roast in the Village 2013
Posted by David Oakes
Once again Rotary held the annual Corn Roast at our usual spot on Village Stroll behind the Visitor's Centre. We have held our $2/cob feast for over 2 decades as a fundraiser for Rotarian community and international projects. Always a Labour Day favourite in the Village - the fresh corn is donated by The Grocery Store. It is a popular event.
The following pictures were taken after setup but before sales began. Many thanks to all who participated.
Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Morialta in Australia stopped by to chat with us. There were many other Rotarians in Whistler this weekend
The funds raised at the corn roast go towards our community - local and international - projects underway and in the future.
