Our December meetings at the Whistler Museum started off with David Malaher taking the place of Library Director Elizabeth Tracy who was flu bound on December 3rd. After a tasty snack presented by Secretary Gill Forester, David stepped right up and gave a fascinating review of his spring, summer
and early fall travels on the east coast of the US

The Rotary Club of Whistler Annual General Meeting took place on December 10th. the meeting opened with an interesting bio from new member David Steven who will bring to us a tide of organizational and planning ability. Following Dave the meeting opened nominations for the Board of Directors  for 2020- 2021. Eight members were presented and approved. Nominations closed. At the Rotary year end before June 30th our new Board will be sworn in prior to or at this beginning of the new 2020 Rotary Year.
Treasurer Ken Martin gave a presentation of our financial status including donations, investments and the operating budget however not the final delivery as more final details of 2019 first quarter are forthcoming from our accountants.

The December 15th Holiday Feast at the Whistler Golf Club was greatly enjoyed. The food presented by The Venue Chef's Ryan and Melissa was fantastic. It was said by many - they had not tasted better or more tender turkey. Appetites were whetted by a rowdy game of Secret Santa featuring items from the Whistler Re-Use-It. Laughter was one of the great sauces of the evening! Our guest from Mumbai,  Kaustav Ghosh managed to arrive in time, by bus, to enjoy the feast and is shown with President elect Gill Forester exchanging flags. Kaustav is moving to Vancouver however is from a Rotary Club in Mumbai.
