2019 Laurie Cooper

Canada Caring Founder Laurie Cooper spoke to the Rotary Club of Whistler at Dusty's Backside July 23 on her founding this organization to personally sponsor refugee immigrants into Canada. Laurie was instrumental in establishing the Fairmont Chateau in Whistler as a perfect fit for interviewing, employing, training and housing these willing and loyal workers. With Laurie in this photo is Mohamed, a refugee from Syria who fled to Jordan with his 6 year old brother in the dark of night.
