Mar. 09, 2021
Thank you all for participating in last week's Rotary Club of Whistler Spirits Night in partnership with Montis Distilling. Not only was it a lot of fun, we also raised about $1,700 for the WCSS delivery truck refrigeration program. We are very close to our goal of $10,000 We are going to try this one more time, this time with a Martini focus. Very similar evening to Spirits Night. We are making a couple of changes. We will only be making/drinking 3 drinks, 2 Gin and 1 Vodka Martini. (4 drinks in 80 minutes was a bit much for me last time) We are also spreading out the time between Dani's bartending instruction to give more time to enjoy each creation. We are going to experiment with virtual "Chat Lounges". Between drinks you can move around to the various virtual Lounges, providing more opportunity to socialize. We can also set up named Lounges where you can invite your friends that are participating. i.e I might have one of the Lounges named Ken Martin and anyone can drop in and experience your martini with me and whoever is in the Lounge at the time. Have your own Lounge if you see fit.
Tuesday March 9th at 7PM. $30 per registrant gets you three 2 ounce bottles and a raffle ticket for more great wine and spirits. Martini making ingredient lists and suggested appies will be provided. Most importantly you get another great Dani bartending performance. (no Silent Auction this time)
Come join us again and get your friends out for a very social virtual get together in the Chat Lounges.
Register at https://tinyurl.com/March-Martini-Madness
See you March 9th.

MAC Project - "Bikes in Container for International Destination"
Apr. 06, 2021
Kathy White - Chair of Whistler MAC Board, and on behalf of our 55+ membership – I’m happy to share an outline of our activities and future project ideas. We are vibrant group of over 200 members, engaged and often volunteering in Whistler, while we enjoy “aging in place”. We are all an important part of the social fabric and provide economic benefit often through municipal taxes, also by supporting local restaurants, shops & services. MAC is hopeful to bring forward the idea of “donate a bike” project with the Rotary members and other community organizations. Similar to the previous project by Pat Montanihttps://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/article-pat-montani-and-bicycles-for-humanity- provide-transport-to-health-care/ |
