Ski-a-Thon Raises Money

As a part of our plan this year to hold one meeting a month off site this month was our (now) annual Ski-a-Thon to raise money for club projects local and iinternational.

Based on each participant doing as many runs as they can using the Jersey Cream chair on Blackcomb, they gather funds from supporters who pledge so much per run or a lump sum.

This year we had 12 sign up as skiers with 10 actually doing it, and we raised approximately $5000 towards our annjual fund raising goal.

Prizes were given for the most runs by a man and a lady, with second prizes as well. The prozes were awarded at Black's Pub after the event, well attended by racers and friends, and a 50/50 draw took place there as well.
