As pictured below Bulbuli, the Bangladesh mom "adopted" by the Rotary Club of Whistler recently celebrated International Women's Day.

She along with her school, and indeed all of our schools celebrated the day.  They had games for the children and special activities including a march through their  neighbourhood. This is a day the women have embraced - they intuitively relate to it and feel connected with their sisters around the world. ! You can see the headdresses they have made for their march.

Bulbuli participates in a program developed by the Amarok Society of Canada. The society teaches extremely poor, uneducated mothers in the world’s worst slums to become neighbourhood teachers. The Rotary Club of Whistler is very proud to support Bulbuli and the society in their effort to  Teach a Mother, Change the World.
