Again in what is now an annual event Whistler Rotary held a Pancake Breakfast on May 19th, to support the Whistler Public Library. Members of the Rotary Club of Whistler and the Rotary Club of Whistler Millennium joined forces with Library staff. The question posed in the local media would you buy your breakfast from these friendly gentleman? The answer was yes and the sunny weather made it even better. Whistler came out in droves to support the event.

On Sep 6 representatives from the Rotary Club of Whistler met with the Library Board to present a $650 cheque for the proceeds of the breakfast. President Ken Martin and Service Project Committee Chair Marg Pallot are shown at right presenting the cheque to Whistler Public Library Officials: Elizabeth Tracy (Director), Gord Annand (Chair), and Bevin Heath Ansley.

The Rotary Club of Whistler thanks the Whistler Public Library for the opportunity to support our community.  A big thanks to Marg Pallot for organizing the event and to all Rotarians who came out to make it work.

Following the cheque presentation the the library displayed the cheque prominently on one of their shelves.  Thanks to the library for letting our community know about Rotary's support for "Whistler's living room".
