Whistler's Syrian Refugee Update

Michael Blaxland retired in 2010 after 33 years as a BC lawyer. In 2015 he went to a Community gathering and coordinated 30 Whistler volunteers and Our Lady of the Mountain Church to sponsor the Shami family and a cousin from Homs Syria. After almost a year of frustration we got them to Whistler. Three arrived in October 2016 and the mother and oldest son in December.
